Kamlesh Jain, of Indore, India, served a two-year term as a director of
The International Association of Lions Clubs following his election at
the association’s 77th International Convention, held in Phoenix,
Arizona, USA, July 12-15, 1994.
Past Director Jain is an attorney, a tax consultant and the managing
director of a company.
A member of the Indore Lions Club since 1968, Past Director Jain has
held many positions within the association, including club president,
district governor and council chairman, and chairman of his district’s
membership and project committees.
Past Director Jain was also involved in the establishment of his
district’s eye bank and served as chairman of the District Governors-
elect Orientation for incoming Indian district governors.
Director Jain also served as GMT Area Leader during 2008-2016.
He was also appointed as Group Leader for DG ELECT seminars held
at Hongkong, Boston, Toronto, Honolulu, Chicago and Las Vegas. He
has attended twenty International. Conventions and numerous Area
Forums.
Past Director Jain has received numerous awards in recognition of his
contributions to the association, including the 100% District Governor
Award, two Leadership Awards, the International President’s Special
Commendation Award, 17 International President’s Awards and the
Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honor the association
bestows upon its members.
In addition to his Lion activities, Past Director Jain is a trustee of Jain
High School and College and a member of his state’s Welfare
Association for the Blind.
Past Director Jain and his wife, Kanchan, have four children.
