LUIS AUGUSTO DAVID CARO CHONG
INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Luis Augusto David Caro Chong of Lima, Peru, was elected to serve a two-year term as an
international director of Lions International at the association’s 106th International Convention
in Melbourne, Australia, June 21 through June 25, 2024.
Director Caro has 30 years of experience as a business professional. He is currently the owner of
Representations Fray Martin SRL.
Growing up in a Lions family, Director Caro joined the Chimbote Lions Club in 1994, where he
is currently an active member.
He has held several offices within the association including club president, club treasurer,
membership director, district advisor, district LCIF coordinator, Global Membership Team and
Global Leadership Team LCIF coordinator, area leader and president of the Council of
Governors.
In recognition of his service to the association, Director Caro has received numerous awards
including 100% Club Treasurer Award, 100% Membership Coordinator Award, 100% District
Governor Award, New Club Extension Award, International President’s Medal, Membership Key
Award, LCIF Helping Hands Award and multiple International President’s Certificate. He is also
a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lion activities, Director Caro is a member of his local Chamber of Commerce,
as well as a member of the Buenos Aires Country Club, the Chimbote Social Club and the
College of Bachelor of Administration.
Director Caro and his wife, Norma, also a Lion and Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, have two
children, one Lion and the other a Leo.
