SANDRO CASTELLANA
PAST INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
Sandro Castellana from Padova, Italy, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of Lions
Clubs International at the association’s 100th International Convention held in Chicago, Illinois,
USA, June 30 through July 4, 2017. He served on the Convention Committee and Leadership
Development Committee as well as on the Executive Committee from 2018-2019.
Past Director Castellana served as secretary of the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF)
Executive Committee from 2019-2021. He was appointed as a trustee to LCIF from 2019-2022
for Constitutional Area IV, serving on the Development Committee, Programs Committee and
Audit Committee.
Past Director Castellana is an IT consultant.
A member of the Abano Terme Euganee Lions Club since 1997, he has held many offices within
the association, including club president, district governor, zone chairperson, multiple district
GLT coordinator and GLT area leader.
In recognition of his service to the association, Past Director Castellana has received numerous
awards, including several International President’s Awards and the Ambassador of Good Will
Award, the highest honor the association bestows upon its members. He is also a Progressive
Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Past Director Castellana has been active in professional and
community organizations, including as vice president of the Italian Heart Transplant Association.
Past Director Castellana’s wife, Anna, is also a Lion and a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
